So, just down the road from our studio and perfectly located in the middle of Scarborough’s bustling sea front, a wonderful Pizza Express has finally opened.
Our client asked for images to capture the general atmosphere and ambience of this new seaside restaurant.
Each Pizza Express is different, so we needed to focus on their maritime inspired interior. It was early morning when we started, so full service had not begun. Angela styled an exterior and interior table with food and drinks to create the illusion of customers being served and enjoying their meal.
The pizza-makers and servers were photographed as they worked – these shots are full of movement to describe a busy and lively restaurant, which of course is what you usually experience when you visit any Pizza Express.
They also provide a cute little chef’s hat, stickers and coloured pencils for children to play with. The client wanted us to provide images of this too.
Once inside the smell of pizza soon had us craving for one ourselves. So, the question was do we leave after the location shoot has finished or stay a little longer. The answer was yes…the staff at David Chalmers Photography need a working lunch!
We definitely recommend a visit!
